A fine example of the work of Alberto Sangorski: best known as partner in Sangorski & Sutcliffe who went on to become one of the best known of all English binders working in the early part of this century. The present work is a particularly early example of a number of illuminated Rubiyts produced by the partnership, the best known of which was lost with the Titanic in 1912.
