The ivory field with a bold honeycomb lattice formed of polychrome bands, each panel enclosing a stylised turtle-palmette, some also with occasional other motifs such as floral sprays and birds, in a blood-red border of angular rosettes linked by flowerheads flanked by similar part rosettes between charcoal-grey palmette and arabesque, shaded golden yellow floral meander and minor zigzag and barber pole stripes, a broad kilim strip at each end, areas of wear, more concentrated at one end, a very few small old repairs, glued backing
