Of Ottoman design, the steel-blue field with a central column of palmettes issuing scrolling flowering and leafy vine below the cusped shouldered ivory and orange interlaced arabesque prayer arch, the lower spandrels with dense cloudband scrolls, in an ice-blue border of palmettes, rosettes, serrated leaves and carnation sprays between ivory rosette and minor pink and blue leafy meander stripes, plain outer blue stripe, signed in European characters at one end with the word Hereke and the monogram TC
