Lot Essay

Part of a group of 45 drawings of the Life of Saint Bruno sold in Paris in 1887. Forteen are in the Witt Collection at the Courtauld Institute, London and others are in the Pierpont Morgan Library, New York, the Louvre, the Albertina, and sold in these Rooms, 12 December 1996, lot 150.
