Album containing seventy-nine albumen prints, each approx. 7 x 9 in. or the reverse, the majority signed Bonfils, titled and numbered in the negatives, mounted one-per-page on two-tone card, titled in ink in French on mounts, morocco-backed cloth boards (spine damaged and front cover detached), titled Album de Photographies in gilt on spine, lge. oblong 4to.

An extensive album comprising approx. thirty views and architectural studies around Jerusalem including the Tower of David, Damascus Gate, Jaffa Gate, the Church of St. Anne and of the Ascension, Tomb of the Virgin, Valley of Josephat, a group portrait by the Wailing wall; other views around Sidon, Hebron, Tibriade, the Dead Sea, Jericho, Mont Carmel, Bethany, Bethlehem, Jaffa; four of Athens, seven of Baalbec, seven of Damascus, one of Beyrouth and one of Constantinople; and approx. five portrait and costume studies.
The sizes of the photographs in this album match one of the three sizes that were listed in Flix Bonfils' 1876 catalogue and it would seem likely that the majority of the photographs in this album are by him.
