Painted in richly coloured enamels with two figures sitting in the forest, the left figure being Apollo playing the lyre, his muse sitting at his right dressed in a loose falling blue robe, Apollo's robes in pink and yellow, a border of four trailing flower sprays below a brown-edged rim
