A brass and copper snuff box and a brass tobacco box
Apparently unmarked, possibly Germany, circa 1750 and 1760
Of compressed cartouche form, the mounts stepped, with foliate cast thumb-piece, the cover engraved with two sprays of laurel and centered by a circle with the initials I.I.T. above, the reverse with text and dated 1786 and one of rectangular form, the base and cover stepped and with reeded mounts, the cover and base engraved with gallant scenes, with a tex below and cherubs and scrolling foliage at the sides, in a wide foliate band
