A Dutch ebonized wooden marriage casket with silver mounts
Apparently unmarked, Frisia, circa 1630
Of rectangular and trunk-shape, on a stepped silver base, the corners applied with silver winged caryatids supporting the cover, the sides applied with four silver medallions surrounded by trelliswork, one engraved with the symbols of faith with a heart above, the base and cover decorated with bands of French lilies, with swing handle and lined with red velvet
