Lot Essay

In 1931, the Faencerie de la Grande Maison HB (Hubaudire), in the Brittany town of Quimper, editied a limited edition stoneware of this bust. A few were heightened with gold. In 1957, a new edition of ten pieces was made, this time in faience.
