In the Transition style, inlaid overall with panels decorated with foliate scrolling sprays, animals, flower-vases, musical trophies, flower sprays, the rectangular superstructure with six small drawers, the canted top above a hinged frieze drawer, enclosing three small drawers, and a velvet-lined writing surface, above a tambour shutter decorated with a town view enclosing four small drawers inlaid with vases, flanked by a tambour slide enclosing two similarly inlaid small drawers, on slightly splayed legs joined by a rectangular platform, on foliate pierced sabots, restorations
