Two Meissen Kakiemon Koreanische Lwe pattern oval two-handled tureens and two covers
Circa 1740, blue crossed swords mark and Pressnummer 28 to one tureen
Painted with cranes flanked by flowering shrubs, insects and mythical flying tigers, between Sulkowski ozier-moulded borders painted with flower-sprays and insects, the handles formed as rushes issuing from bearded mask terminals, the domed covers similarly moulded and decorated within waved rope-twist rims and surmounted by ozier-moulded crown finials (one tureen broken through and restuck, the cover cracked, restoration to handles and to tip of finial, the other tureen with two small restored footrim chips, slight wear to enamels)
