A Sunderland engraved tumbler and an armorial rummer
Early 19th Century and circa 1840
The cylindrical tumbler engraved with a sailing ship passing beneath SUNDERLAND BRIDGE, named on the rectangular dot cartouche, 4 in. (11.5 cm.) high; the rummer with a flared bucket bowl engraved with the arms and crest of the Company of Coopers, the reverse with RS initials within an oval cartouche surmounted by a basket of fruit and flanked by flowering foliage above a band of star-withinin-diamond cutting and flutes, on rudimentary knop stem and circular foot, 6 in.
