Lot Essay

The artist's journal records that Nora and Wylie visited Bonchester, the Staples family home in Belfast, to play the piano and sing with Violet, the artist's eldest daughter. Wylie stayed until 12 noon for a smoke and a chat.

We are very grateful to Mrs Hazel Dolling for her assistance in cataloguing this lot.
