Lot Essay

James Flewitt Mullock was based in Newport and he would appear not to have exhibited outside his native Wales. An inscription on a label on a stretcher records that William Phillips 'was the first great breeder of Foxhounds in South Wales. Risca Manor is approximately six miles from Newport.
