Sketch for The Cottage Toilet

This drawing appears to relate to the oil painting The Cottage Toilet, in the Wallace Collection, London (see J. Ingamells, The Wallace Collection Catalogue of Pictures, London, 1985, p. 193, no. P352). The painting was executed in 1824. Another drawing has been identified as a preliminary study for the painting was sold at Sotheby's London, 24 November 1977, lot 95.
