The silvered dial signed and numbered Hamilton Lancaster PA, USA (N) 5902, Arabic hour numerals, subsidiary seconds and up-and-down dials, black enamel finish hands, nickel plated frame with parallel line spotting, top-plate inscribed Model 21, 14 Jewels Hamilton Watch Co. Lancaster, Penn, Earnshaw escapement, uncut Elinvar-Extra balance with Elinvar helical balance spring, Hamilton adjustable detent assembly with jewelled locking stone, mounted over the balance "Y arm", stop/start assembly operated via allen key, brass bowl and gimbal, associated Hamilton three-tier brass bound mahogany box with applied brass rectangular maker's plaque to front of middle section and with outer guard (carrying) box, external brass drop handles
