An Art Deco Mother-of-Pearl and Gem-set Clock by Marchak
The rectangular dyed mother-of-pearl case enclosing a gilt brass timepiece movement with bimetallic balance to the platform lever escapement, depicting Chinese landscapes with a dragon to the dial and undulated hands, within a black laquer frame, applied red enamel Chinese characters and rose-cut diamond detail, carved figures to the top and red enamel graduated sides all to the hardstone base, circa 1928, with French assay and maker's marks, 10.0 cm high
