A GROUP OF YARI, A COVER AND TWO BLOW PIPES

A su yari [simple spear] decorated on the upper third with banded red lacquer and the rest of the shaft of plan wood with a simple blade and a cylindrical scabbard in textured red lacquer; another su yari similarly mounted with ribbed black lacquer and the rest of the shaft of plain oak, a simple blade and a black textured lacquer scabbard with a slight taper; a spear shaft of plain oak and ribbed lacquer; an unusual cover for a naginata [pole with a curved blade] in simple brown lacquered leather tied about the middle with a leather tie; Together with a slim and long blow pipe possibly of cane and lacquer, and another of wood and hexagonal section, both large mouth pieces, some old damage
