A large Ottoman chest
Ottoman Turkey, 19th Century
The red and green rectangular chest on bracket feet, top of the pine chest with central roundel containing a crescent moon and a star surrounded by a red ring with flower heads flanked by sprays of foliage with flying birds, four small roundels in the corners with stars, two outer rope-work borders, front and side panels similar with a vase of flowers flanked by similar swags of foliage, with four palmette-shaped applied corner pieces, all decorated areas moulded and gilded, surface dirt and very minor damages
