Geneva, circa 1800, the flange struck with inventory no. 73
Rectangular flattened box with rounded corners, the cover inset with a rectangular enamel panel finely painted with a mythological scene depicting Pomona with her basket of fruit offering an apple to Fame and Cybele in a classical landscape, within a Greek key pattern gold border surrounded by a blue enamel band, the four side panels painted with black zig-zags on a translucent blue enamelled wavy guilloch ground, the base enamelled in translucent blue and black on an engine-turned fan-pattern ground within a Greek key pattern gold border
