Of Regence style, second half 19th Century
Each with a rectangular loose cushion covered in ochre material and pink and cream silk rope twist edges, the corners hung with pink, cream and gold thread tassels, the conforming seat on acanthus leaf and guilloche moulded x-frame supports centred by a flowerhead

These pliants are part of a group made for the Chteau de Compigne, based on an 18th Century stool originally from there. Although others of the group are at Compigne, these stools never have been.
