The circular enamel dial inscribed with Roman chapters and pierced hands surmounted by an eagle perched on a ball with cascading vines, the bezel hung with swags and centred by an anthemion between two classical figures standing on part stop-fluted columns on a reverse breakfront panelled plinth and on engine milled feet
