A PAIR OF NEAPOLITAN GILTWOOD SIDE TABLES
Mid-18th Century
Each with a moulded eared and shaped later brown breccia marble top above a shaped frieze with lappeted borders and centred by a foliate scroll, surmounted by a floral spray on a matted ground, the sides conformingly decorated on cabriole legs headed by a ribbed and lappeted foliate scroll and terminating in a further scroll headed by foliage, the top of one table with the remains of a label inscribed 'BARONE THELEN MAISON SUISSE Via Domenico Morelli,... NAP...', and with a depository label dated '18 January 1901', one marble with a restored break to the back right angle
