Lot Essay

Max Friedlnder suggested that the drawing was by a Netherlandish artist working in the style of van der Weyden around 1460. J. Dupont described the drawing as by the Burgundian Master of the Altarpiece of Ambierle while Micheline Sonkes believed the drawing to be by a French follower of Rogier working in the 1460's.
