Level into neck Tasting note: I have been privileged to note this on no fewer than sixteen occasions and at fairly regular intervals since 1972. Very deep, opaque at the centre; huge, sweet, spirity bouquet that reminded me of caramelised raisins and then as it opened up in the glass, of prunes and cloves. Still sweet but not overpoweringly so, full-bodied, an assertive prune-like flavour, hot, peppery, mouthfilling, still plump, with marvellous acidity. ****** Years of life left. M.B.
