An 18-Bore Brass-Barrelled Silver-Mounted Flintlock Pistol

With slightly belled barrel engraved with foliage at the breech and 'London' along the sighting flat, border engraved rounded lock engraved with foliage (minor pitting, engraving worn, cock replaced), the pan with water drains, figured walnut full stock (repaired) inlaid with silver wire (minor losses) around the rear of the lock and side-plate, and with a shell behind the barrel tang, cast and chased mounts including engraved trigger-guard with acorn finial, pierced engraved side-plate, grotesque mask butt-cap, and silver escutcheon engraved with a crest and motto, and later iron belt hook and horn-tipped ramrod, Birmingham private proof marks
