With fine earlier swamped etched twist barrel of Ottoman origin decorated with arabesques in encrusted gold at the muzzle and breech and gold-inlaid maker's signature 'Hajji Sh'aban', gold encrusted standing back-sight and rectangular tang, the latter with gold-encrusted owner's name 'Nahwar Beg', associated blued gold-encrusted lock, three-quarter stock entirely overlaid with gilt-brass panels decorated in low relief on a punched ground with flowers, scrolls, foliage, strapwork, and basketwork, and on each side of the fish-tail butt with garlands and baskets of flowers, all in high relief, five gilt barrel bands (one replaced) decorated en suite with the stock, two sling loops, and original iron ramrod (trigger-guard replaced)
