With sighted two-staged barrels with turned muzzles and girdles, octagonal then polygonal breeches each signed and struck with brass-lined maker's mark (Neue Stckel 1157) on the top flat flanked by two further marks (similar to Neue Stckel 5499), tangs incorporating the back-sights, rounded locks each engraved with foliage, and with a grotesque mask in low relief on the tail (one action defective), moulded figured walnut full stocks (each a working replacement, minor chips and cracks, each repaired below the lock), iron mounts including pierced foliate side-plates involving monster-heads, and spurred pommels, pierced escutcheons en suite with the side-plates, set triggers (one adjustment screw incomplete), horn fore-end caps (one cracked), and horn-tipped ramrods
