Pessac (Graves), cru class. Chteau-bottled
Tasting note: Meaty, mouthfilling. Chewy, fleshy, marvellous tannin and acidity. Subsequent notes remark on its lovely texture, flesh, length. At a tasting in 1987, preferred it to Haut-Brion. A lovely colour, still fairly deep, rich, maturing; reminded me of fresh walnuts. Medium dry, fairly full-bodied, good extract, fruit, loads of tannin. Fine wine with a good future. M.B.(GVWBII)
