A fine mica Chinese Export fan, the paper leaf painted with birds and butterflies both recto and verso, one side blue and red, the other white and red and decorated with mica insertions or spy-holes in the form of birds and butterflies, the ivory sticks lacquered in imari style in red, green and gold, the guardsticks each with a double headed eagle coronet above - 10.5in. (26.2cm.), late 17th century (slight damage to leaf ) - in 18th century shagreen fan box
