Another imperial Chinese zitan, boxwood and stained ivory stand
of shaped oblong form, carved to the rim with a band of ruyi-heads above lotus-petals, the body carved with cartouches of flowers and fruiting gourds, pierced bands of ruyi-sprays with attached simulated silk tassels, the four feet terminating in ruyi-heads, on a base carved with scrolling lotus and melons -- 7.in (19.1cm) wide, 18th Century, (one foot terminal missing, chip to rim).
