signed on the stand R & J BECK LTD LONDON, NO. 28181, with rack and pinion coarse and micrometer fine focusing, triple nose-piece, mechanical slide accessory by R & J Beck, vulcanite stage, sub-stage condenser and plano-concave mirror, the body-limb jointed on the stand to allow the microscope to be used in the horizontal or vertical position, with four eyepieces, objectives including a 2-inch oil immersion, a micrometer eyepiece, a prismatic attachment and other items, in fitted mahogany case with brass carrying handle -- 13in. (34.3cm.) high
