COLLINS Optician 157, Gt, Portland St LONDON, with rack and pinion coarse and micrometer fine focusing, prism, mechanical stage, sub-stage condenser and plano-concave mirror, with an extensive range of accessories including a double nose-piece, an abbe condenser, various eyepieces, forceps, tweezers, live box, slide preparation accessories and other items, and a comprehensive collection of polariscope, mineralogical, vegetable, botanical, entomological and other slides, by professional and amateur preparers, many with coloured labels and descriptive engraving, by Flatters and Garnett, T. Gerrard & Co., Thomas Hancock and others, contained in forty-seven drawers with stained ivory pulls, each drawer containing a maximum of twenty-four slides, many drawers complete, others part complete, and two additional drawers containing accessories for the microscope, all contained in a fitted mahogany cabinet on plinth base with glass doors -- 34in.
