Lot Essay

This is a work on sexual love, divided into 14 chapters. It provides both heterosexuals and homosexuals with instructions on enhancing sexual enjoyment, much of it drawn from Indian sources, and each section has been illustrated with erotic poetry. This copy has the library stamp of Father Paul Sbath of Aleppo, a Syrian priest and scholar, with a well-known collection of manuscripts, around one half of which is now in the Vatican library. The catalogue of the collection was published in Cairo in 1928-34.
