The 3-inch (7.6cm.) diameter terrestrial globe bearing the trade label TERRESTRIAL GLOBE Carefully compiled from the best Authorities George Philip & Son, Ltd, LONDON Made in Germany, made up of twelve chromolithographed paper late nineteenth-century gores, the oceans showing ocean currents, the continents variously coloured, with steel arm with ivorine moonball (loose) mounted on geared mechanism to moulded brass horizon plate with black infill showing the months, seasons and a windrose with compass directions, at the centre a brass gas lamp and steel reflector attached to geared mechanism with turning handle underneath, raised on a turned brass column and plinth base with black infill -- 15in.
