A pair of Chinese painted pottery models of equestrian riders
the saddled horses standing four square facing forwards with ears pricked and nostrils flaring, the riders wearing tunics and head bands and with their arms held out before them, traces of red, black and white pigments remaining -- 12in. (30.5cm.) and 11in. (29.8cm.) high, Han Dynasty, (some restoration and old wear).
