(13.3cm.) diameter, engraved on the south polar circle ADAM HEROLD FECIT ROMAE ANNO DMIMDCIII, the sphere contructed of two hemispheres split around the celestial equator, the inner rings supporting the axis with earth ball, with silvered-brass meridian and horizontal circles, raised on three quadrant supports and vase-shaped stand with spreading foot -- 11.3/8in.
