A pair of fine Brussels bobbin lace tapering lappets, each terminal with a vase of flowers, the central field with sprays of flowers at intervals, the edges with asymmetrical floral motifs, 1730s--24 x 4in. (61 x 10cm.) each; and a very similar cap back and edging--cap back 9 x 7.25in. (23 x 8.5cm.), the edging 60.5 x 2.5in. (154 x 6.5cm.) all mounted on silk; a border of Flemish bobbin lace with a mesh ground, early 18th century; and a fine flounce of Brussels bobbin lace with two bands of undulating flowers and clover leaves enclosing sprigs of jasmine, probably Bruges--80 x 6.5in.
