An early 17th century continental standing cup and cover,
with a later 18th century foot, the beaker shaped bowl with a flared rim, chased with three scroll cartouches, each centred by a stag on a matted ground, the cover non-matching, embossed and domed and surmounted by a classical figure finial, the bowl with makers mark only with device above, unascribed, probably Hungarian, first half of the 17th century - 44.5cm high, 25oz.
