J Heath exhibited at the 1851 Great Exhibition both cabinet furniture and his award winning Bath chair which is now in the Bristol City Museum. His firm later claimed to be manufacturers by appointment to Queen Victoria, the Queen of Saxony and the Royal families of Germany, Spain, Egypt and C, and who were eventually taken over by W Monk & Co.
