[TINTYPE]. Sixth plate tintype of Union soldier in tunic and kepi, seated next to a vase of flowers, tinted; stamped paper case, slightly worn.
The tinting to the kepi has "128" prominitely displayed; an accompanying note states the photograph was taken in Baton Rouge, LA. The 128th New York Regiment saw most of its action in the early years participating in the Red River campaign and the siege of Port Hudson.
