Despite Foreman being a big favorite, the poll was close, with Ali edging Foreman 24-20. One writer, Rick Talley of the Chicago Tribune correctly picked Ali by KO in round eight. Muhammad Ali has boldly signed both pages which are entitled Official Poll Foreman-Ali. Important writers who participated include: Nat Loubet, Ferdie Pacheco, Norman Mailer, Budd Schulberg, Jim Murray, Jerry Izenberg, Bud Collins, Pete Bonventre and Dave Anderson. Gene Kilroy of Ali's camp also participated and picked Ali in eight rounds. These sheets were hung in Ali's training camp in Zaire, Africa, prior to the fight, for those interested in predicting it's outcome. The listing has some edge wear and light fading.
