8o (217 x 140 mm). Five engraved section titles after Humblot, woodcut headpieces and initials, text within double rule border. (Marginal tear to Ee2.) Contemporary red morocco, covers richly gilt with outer border of swirling floral sprays surrounding design of interlacing strapwork, pointill and solid tools, royal arms of France at center, spine in six compartments, the second gilt-lettered, the remainder with similar gilt decoration including fleur-de-lis tools, gilt edges (extremities rubbed, a few small wormholes to spine).
