An official printing of an Act of the Second Congress. ld in Philadelphia, comprising "An Act to Authorize the Adjustment of a Claim of Joseph Henderson Against the United States," signed in type at bottom by Speaker John Trumbull, Vice President John Adams and President Washington, boldly signed in ink by Secretary of State Thomas Jefferson. Authorizing payment of a yearly salary of $100 to Joseph Henderson as "paymaster to the Navy Board for the eastern Department" from 1778 to 1782, signed by Jefferson as Secretary of State.
