Beck was unaware of the topography of this drawing, which was identified by Bert Gerlagh of the Amsterdam Municipal Archives. A drawing studied from a slightly more northerly direction by Johannes Storck dated 1678 is illustrated in B. The Huis met het Torentje was demolished to build the Victoria Hotel, near the harbor where the central station now stands on an artificial island.
