Of squared baluster form, enamelled in the style of Namikawa Sosuke with a band of flanged lappets enclosing karashishi and ho-o beneath flowered and geometric-patterned bands, the neck and shoulder with ho-o and scrolling karakusa reserved on a green goldstone-flecked ground, the lower section enamelled in a creamy pale brown tone; together with another baluster vase, decorated with a stand of flowering wisteria and chrysanthemum beneath a bird in flight, reserved on a black ground
