The arched hood with pierced fret centering three fluted plinths surmounted by brass ball-and-spire finials above a molded cornice over a conforming glazed door opening to a white painted dial with Roman and Arabic chapter ring enclosing a sweep seconds hand and the calender day aperture surmounted by a lunar dial with the moon, sailing vessels and a landscape, the spandrels decorated with various flowers and gilt highlights, inscribed "David Williams/New Port" flanked by incised brass mounted colonettes over a waisted case with a line-inlaid cupboard door flanked by brass-mounted fluted quarter-columns above a line inlaid box base, on ogee bracket feet--92in. high, 17in. wide, 8¾in. deep
