DIAL SIGNED AND CASE LABELLED AARON WILLARD, BOSTON, 1790-1823
The arched hood centering three reeded plinths above a molded cornice over a conforming glazed door with eglomise decorated spandrels opening to a white painted dial with Roman and Arabic chapter rings enclosing a sweeps seconds, the whole surmounted by a landscape with a rocking ship movement, flanked by brass mounted reeded colonettes above a waisted case with brass mounted reeded quarter-columns centering a beaded door over molded ball-and-claw feet, the interior with Aaron Willard label--74½in. high, 17½in. wide, 9½in. deep
