In the George III style, baluster form on spreading foot, repousse and chased with twisting acanthus and leaves, with acanthus scroll handles, the borders chased with ovolo and dart, the cover surmounted by a bulb and flame finial, engraved with two crests, the base engraved J.M.T.J From Her Mother Sept 8th, 1910, marked STERLING under base--15 1/8in. high
