A Dutch mahogany and marquetry "klapbuffet"
Circa 1800
Inlaid overall with chequerbanded lines and cut-cornered panels, the hinged canted rectangular top with a dentilled border, with a pewter fountain and basin to the reverse, flanked to either side by two hinged shelves, above two hinged flaps, the frieze with two short drawers, above a pair of drawers, each centred by a fan motif, enclosing a plain interior with a shelf, on square tapering legs, minor restorations
